MLO 3
MLO 3: LITERARY AND CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE
Students develop a reasonable understanding of the ways of thinking (ideas, beliefs, attitudes, values, philosophies), the behavioral practices (patterns of social interactions) and the cultural products – both tangible and intangible (for example, art, history, literature, music) of Hispanic societies.
There are two pathways by which this outcome can be fulfilled:
Students complete four courses in Hispanic literature and/or Hispanic culture. These courses deal with the cultures and civilizations of Spain or Hispanic America, the literatures of Spain and/or Hispanic America, The theatre and cinema of Spain and/or Hispanic America, the art and art history of Spain and /or Hispanic America, the music and music history of Spain and/or Hispanic America, the historical, political and social development of Spain and/or Hispanic America.

MLO REFLECTIVE NARRATIVE
Here is the description for the MLO: The way people think (ideas, beliefs, attitudes, values, and philosophies), the ways people behave (patterns of social interaction), and the cultural outputs of Hispanic societies—both tangible and intangible (such as art, history, literature, and music)—are all things that students learn to a reasonable degree. This MLO is fulfilled by SPAN 316 Cultures and Civilizations of Spain, which I took in Fall 2021. The class was taught by David Vila Dieguez. In this course I learned about the culture of Spain. The main focus was on geography, religion, sociology, and the arts of the Iberian Peninsula. I studied the relation of the evolution of Spanish culture and civilisation, with a focus on the mentalities and cultural outputs.
